Antonia Lofaso
Antonia's Lofaso invites guests to look into her soul through the cuisine she creates. Her curiosity grew as she left for the Long Island suburbs to explore the rich cultural diversity of Los Angeles. Cavatellis and carnitas coexisting within the same menu is what she believes in. What remains, however, in all of her dishes is a singular vision towards the future that longingly remembers the previous. Inspired by her heritage as an Italian-American, Lofaso launched Scopa Italian Roots in 2013 and was instantly well-received. Lofaso's interpretation of traditional Italian has been called among Los Angeles' most compelling Italian restaurants. Lofaso's food is consistently authentic, inviting and undeniably delicious. Lofaso was trained by renowned chefs to acquire their specialized techniques. She was also not afraid making bold choices to honor her gut instincts. In a short time her career, she was at the very top in Wolfgang Puck's Spago. In the following years, she worked alongside many celebrities, and transformed a variety of Los Angeles restaurants. Lofaso collaborated with Sal Aurora to create Black Market Liquor Bar, a new bar situated in Studio City. The Lofaso is now settling in Black Market, and through her partnerships she has created. The partnership would allow for the creative freedom Lofaso longed for. Black Market is not constrained by one definitive direction and that's the goal. It could start with chip dill, followed by shishitos peppers. Following that is a Korean wings and then the meatballs course. Antonia's vibrant flavors are the basis of these daring combinations. Lofaso's popularity has been measured through her ability to remain honest with herself, while understanding her audience. Her memorable performance on Top Chef Chicago and Top Chef: All Stars highlighted her uniqueness outside of the kitchen, and her skills remain in the spotlight of the camera as a panelist on CNBC's Restaurant Startup and recurring roles on The Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child as well as ABC's Real O'neals. Lofaso worked with Penguin to release The Busy Mom's Cookbook 100 Recipes for quick Delicious home-cooked Meals in 2012. This book also reveals about her struggles as a mother of Xea and studying at the French Culinary Institute. Lofaso believes that the main inspiration behind all of Lofaso's achievements is her kitchen. It's through this vein she keeps a steady finger on pulse. Chefletics the brand she has created, is revolutionizing how chefs dress. It is a blend of style and practicality. Her main focus is to remain true to her vision. To achieve this goal she has launched Antonia Lofaso Catering. This gives customers an incredibly personal experience.
