Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue E. Taylor is an American stage actress and producer, is well-known for her role in the feature film Ray Undercover Brother as well as in The Mentalist. She received the B.A. in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School at New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actor and producer who is actively involved in theater, film, as well as television. Her career began as an actor in theater before going on to appear in many television shows, as well as independent and mainstream films. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and was a part of BET's epic show The Book of Negroes for which she received not just critical acclaim but also numerous nominations and awards including a Television Critics Choice Award nomination for the Best Actress in a Movie. In 1995 she debuted in the role of Ariel on stage as Ariel in The Tempest. On Broadway she's appeared on stage in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. She is most well-known for her roles in the films Men of Honor, The Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. Her role on television in the ABC's crime drama series High Incident has earned her praises.
